When the USD 413 Foundation got its start, we asked one simple question: what if every household in Chanute gave a dollar a month?
Twelve dollars a year. Less than the cost of a pizza. More than enough — multiplied across this whole town — to change what's possible in our schools.
We got away from it for a while. We're bringing it back.
"And if every household gave $2 a month? $80,000 a year — enough to fund every activity and every sport. With no other fundraisers needed."
$20 a year. To support the whole district. That's the deal.

The Community Dollar a Month Club
Pledge $1, $2, $5, $10, or any amount you choose every month. You pick where it goes — Lincoln, CES, RMS, CHS, Fine Arts, or wherever the need is greatest. Every dollar is tax-deductible. Every dollar stays in Chanute classrooms.

District employees can pledge any amount via paycheck deduction — and membership makes you eligible to apply for our Teacher & Classroom Grants funded by the Club itself. Teachers funding the pool teachers apply to.

A tribute gift is one of the most meaningful ways to celebrate a life, mark a milestone, or honor someone who shaped your world. Every dollar goes directly to Chanute students — and the person you're honoring gets their name attached to something that lasts.
When you give a tribute gift, we send a notification card to the family if you provide their address. Your tax receipt comes to you.

Memorial scholarships are one of the most lasting ways to keep a name alive in this town. Every year, a Chanute graduate carries that name into their next chapter — into nursing, into farming, into building, into music, into whatever comes next.
Five families have already done this. If you're considering establishing a memorial scholarship in honor of someone who shaped your life or this community, we'd love to talk.
Not every gift is a check.
And that's perfectly fine.
Last year, $23,724.07 of our total impact came from in-kind contributions — pallets of water, printing services, PBIS prizes, donated goods, and services from businesses across Chanute.
In-kind donations are fully tax-deductible, and we'll provide documentation for your records. If you have something to give — goods, services, professional skills — contact us and we'll find a fit.
