The Foundation maintains a closet of donated formal wear available to anyone in the area, year-round. Hundreds of dresses, plus suits. $30 covers your rental. Every dollar goes to fund CHS After Prom.

Rent for $30
$30 covers your rental. The dress (or suit) goes home with you for the event, then comes back to us afterward. Every dollar funds CHS After Prom.

Important Things to Know
Fittings are by appointment only. We meet renters one-on-one to try things on.
We rent to anyone in the area. You don't have to be a CHS student or Chanute resident.
Available year-round. Prom, galas, military balls, banquets — anything formal.
We have dresses and suits. We do not currently have tuxes.
No alterations. With hundreds of pieces in every size, we'll find something that fits.
$30 is the rental fee. That covers the rental and dry cleaning.
Prom Dress Day at the Rec Center
Every year before CHS prom, we open the full Formal Room at the Chanute Recreation Center for a one-day try-on event. Students get first pick — but everyone's welcome to come find a dress for any formal event, any time of year.

Your $30 doesn't disappear into the Foundation's general budget — it goes directly to fund CHS After Prom each spring. The night every senior gets to celebrate safely. The dress comes back. The impact stays.

Prom dresses. Bridesmaid dresses. Mother-of-the-bride. Cocktail. Suits. If it's clean and ready to wear, the Formal Room can give it a second life — and another student a memory.
